The PRC Thanks Pawling Rotary for Successful Toiletry Drive
On Saturday, May 16th, Pawling Rotary’s Epic Day of Service Toiletry Drive, benefiting the families and seniors of the PRC, took place, and it was a grand success. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., members of the Pawling club, along with PRC executive director Michael Alexander, manned a table outside of Hannaford’s, where they collected 350 pounds of diapers and baby products, 240 pounds of paper products and 155 pounds of personal hygiene products. The Pawling Resource Center Met the Challenge
In late October and November, during the budgeting dispute in Washington, Pawling’s neighbors in need found themselves without the vital SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits that are counted on to defray the rising cost of groceries.
