How to Contribute Food and Dry Goods

The Pawling Resource Center welcomes donations of labeled canned and boxed foods and toiletries year-round. Please pay special attention to the condition of the packaging and the expiration date, as items that have expired or are poorly packaged will be not be accepted. Home-prepared or unlabeled food items are not accepted for distribution through the food pantry. Donations are accepted during business hours, Monday through Thursday, up to a half hour before closing time. [/box]

Sometimes people fall on hard times, either because of infirmity or because of loss of income. And when they do, they need to know they are not alone— especially in a caring community like Pawling. Since 1976, the Resource Center has provided direct services, at no charge, to individuals and families including transportation to medical appointments, a complete food pantry, and the loan of medical equipment. Most of all, we are here, with open arms, for residents in need. The Pawling Resource Center is a non-profit organization that is funded mostly through local contributions and some grants. Every donation we get from friends and neighbors helps build a stronger community. Whether it’s an annual contribution or an individual or corporate sponsorship of one of our events, the gift you give will be a lasting legacy for the future of Pawling. We urge you to participate. Please remember the Pawling Resource Center in your charitable bequests. You can help in many ways:

  • Come and volunteer.
  • Donate time or resources.
  • Make a financial contribution.
  • Bring in non-expired dry and canned food, household paper products, toiletries, and sundries.

If you have any questions about how you can play a role in this treasured resource for our village and town, please give us a call at: 845-855-3459.
