The Big Thank You party in the afternoon at Lakeside Park was a joyful celebration of the Resource Center’s 40th anniversary, to thank all of the volunteers, donors and supporters who make this organization a viable resource. A barbeque, musical entertainment, and children’s activities filled the afternoon. MC for the event, Sheriff Butch Anderson, talked about the founding of the center, and introduced Town Supervisor Dave Kelly, who read a commendation for the PRC. County Legislator John Thomes read a certificate of recognition for the PRC from County Executive Marcus Molinaro, and Senator Terrence Murphy sent a proclamation honoring the PRC and all it provides for the community. AT&T representative Ed Bergstraesser spoke about the benefit of supporting the PRC food pantry.  Entertainers Jaime Cairney and Anthony Gach regaled the guests with song, and the Pawling Fire department was on hand with a “touch me” truck for young children to tour. The Pawling Free Library provided min-golf stations creatively engineered by children and their families, and Pawling Scouts Wesley Johnson and Dalton Woodin assisted players. Jeremy Busolt, Sean O’Rourke and Bill Riley and helpers served up some might fine food, with additional food from Vinnie’s deli. Pawling Resource Center Program Coordinator Terry Ariano thanked the many donors and supporters of the PRC and distributed certificates for all who volunteer time and service to the organization.
