New Website, New Logo, New Name, New Theme Song

Posted on May 20, 2012

Yet, not everything is new. The mission and services of the Pawling Resource Center remains the same. We carry on just as before with the same dedication and spirit, but a few things have changed to help us communicate and to help you find and remember us better.

The community has referred to us as The Pawling Resource Center for many years, so we decided to go with it, to shorten and simplify our name from the longer “Community Resources and Services Center.”

We also wanted you to be able to find and recollect our web domain address more easily, so we have registered a new URL. Please bookmark and share the new address with your friends and neighbors.

Local artist Amy Farrell designed the beautiful and heartfelt new organizational logo. Her husband, musician and composer Chris Farrell, dedicated a solo piano piece entitled “Gratitude” to the Pawling Resource Center.

Both the new logo and the musical composition wonderfully capture the spirit of the Resource Center in music. Listen to this beautiful composition by pressing “play”.

The new website was designed by Maya Matheis; photography by Bibiana Huang Matheis; copy & concept by Frank Matheis. The new website is entirely produced by the team effort of local volunteers and friends, people from right here in our community. We thank the Farnum & Morales agency for their longstanding support, as well as Tom Clemmons for copywriting the old site. Some of their work was carried over to this new website. Thank you to Mike Pepper, the computer guy, for IT assistance to the Pawling Resource Center. Also thank you to Leo Marino III and Paulina Manzo for graphic services.
